TRAVEL

During our Central American adventure, we took a few minutes to visit the Mayan ruins in Copan and check out the plaza of the dancing jaguar, where all the best parties took place back when the Mayans lived there.

Kate and I in a cave in the town of Copan Ruinas, Honduras. Copan has some of the most sophisticated Mayan ruins in the world, with ruins continually being excavated and uncovered every year.

Visiting the Smoke Shell sculpture who was the 15th King of the Mayans. While traveling through Copan, Honduras we discover many ancient ruins. This one in particular is famous because it tells the entire story of the mayans. King Smoke Shell was famous for creating it in his lifetime.

Kate and I took a crazy Tuktuk taxi adventure through the beautiful streets of Antigua Guatemala. It was raining that day which made things a little more crazy than usual.

Traveling through Honduras, we found the village of Valle de Angeles in the middle of a community beautification process, creating recycled art using bottle caps from soda and other drinks. The most amazing part was the involvement of the youth in the community who were the driving force behind this remarkable art project.

Flying into the 2nd most dangerous airport in the world. Check out this vid I took from inside the plane left wing side. We get so close to the houses and trees and did a pretty sharp turn. You have to be specially trained to land on this run way…..so rad!!!

AA landing in Tegucigalpa, post May 2009 984 ft extension increasing the length of the runway from 6112 ft to its current 7096 ft., combined with further blasting of hill on approach which somewhat decreases the risks and approach angle.
